Silva Appointed As Hull City Head Coach

Hull City have announced the appointment of Marco Silva as their new head coach.

The Portuguese has agreed a contract until the end of the season to join the Humberside club and replace Mike Phelan, who left his post on 3 January after taking over in the summer.

Silva began his coaching career with Estoril in 2011, helping them return to the Portuguese top flight after a seven-year absence.

The 39-year-old took over at Sporting Lisbon in 2014, securing a third-place finish and winning the Portuguese Cup, the club’s first silverware in six years.
